Saint Bartholomew’s Confirmation Preparation Program for youth is a
Two-Year ProgramCONFIRMATIO
N 1The 1st year is available to any student in 7th* or 8th grade or older who is ready to explore preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. It is focused on growing the student’s knowledge of the faith.*7th graders must be pre-approved.CONFIRMATION 2 The 2nd year is available to any student who has completed Confirmation 1 and is ready to further explore their faith and prepare to celebrate the Sacrament.
CLASSES are held Tuesdays 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

*CHILDREN in Grades 3-6: POLICY ENHANCEMENT*
If a child attends (75% of classes) in grades 3-6, he/she may enter Confirmation 1st Year as a 7th grader and receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 8th grade.- The candidate must demonstrate an active and regular life of prayer
- Candidates must participate regularly in Sunday Liturgy
- Participate in the life of the parish community
- Understand the role of the Holy Spirit and discipleship in their lives
- Participate in faith formation on a regular basis
- Have a desire to receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and act with them for mission
- Demonstrate a Christian life of virtue and service
St. Bartholomew Confirmation Requirements:- Regular Mass Attendance; participate in Youth Mass Every Month
- Attend Orientation [See Confirmation Schedule]
- Attend Tuesday night classes
- Volunteering at Parish Events
- Attendance at Confirmation retreat - Confirmation 2 only
- One Day Retreat for Candidates
- Participate in Sponsor-Candidate session
- VIRTUS Safety Training
- 10 Community Service Hours Each Year
