Saint Bartholomew’s Confirmation Preparation Program for youth is a
 Two-Year Program

CONFIRMATION 1st YEAR is available to any student, 7th* or 8th grade and older, who is ready to explore preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. It is focused on growing the student’s knowledge of the faith. 

Meeting Times for Confirmation 1st Year
Every Tuesday Night - 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

CONFIRMATION 2nd YEAR - Open to Students 8*/9th grade and older who have completed Confirmation First Year
*8th graders must be pre-approved.
 

*CHILDREN in Grades 3-6: POLICY ENHANCEMENT*
If a child attends (75% of classes) in grades 3-6, he/she may enter Confirmation 1st Year as a 7th grader and receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 8th grade.

• The candidate must demonstrate an active and regular life of prayer
• Candidates must participate regularly in Sunday Liturgy
• Participate in the life of the parish community
• Understand the role of the Holy Spirit and discipleship in their lives
• Participate in faith formation on a regular basis
• Have a desire to receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and act with them for mission
• Demonstrate a Christian life of virtue and service

• Attendance of Youth Mass Every Month 
• Attendance of Parent Orientation AND Confirmation Orientation [See Conf. 2nd YEAR Schedule]
• Ten 2-Hour Sunday Classes, followed by 5 p.m. Mass
• Attendance & Helping of All Parish Events
• Attendance of OnFire NorCal 2025 on Sept. 13, 2025 [Tuition included w/ Ticket] 
• One Weekend Retreat for Candidates
• Attendance of ALL Family Day w/ Family Mass and Catechesis
• VIRTUS Safety Training
